Building Structures Teacher Training Intensive

Our featured International Professionals Thibault and Nicole Ramirez have a new teacher training intensive focusing on Building Structures to lift your students to new heights!! Thibault and Nicole are extremely passionate about helping communities grow and are excited to bring this knowledge and structure for growth to Australia!
The structure for the one day teacher training is as follows:
9:30 AM Welcome & Doors Open
10:00 – 1:15 Adaptability & Class Management (with a 15 minute break)
1:15 – 2:30 Lunch Break
2:30 – 3:30 Musicality & Styling
3:30 – 4:30 Mistakes & Correction Techniques
4:30 – 5:30 Q&A + Wrap-Up
Goals:
• Develop confidence, clarity, and presence as a WCS instructor
• Learn how to teach across multiple formats and adapt to student needs
• Build a full-year progressive curriculum with 3 levels of development
• Deepen your understanding of musicality, styling, and class flow
• Learn to structure and lead beginner bootcamps with impact
How much does it cost?
This intensive is $250USD, (this cost is in addition to the event pass and can be paid US cash at the door or transferred directly. Let us know and we'll advise how to send the fees directly.) or $405 AUD if you’d like to pay through Dance Convention and we transfer the money for you.

This immersive teacher training is designed to help you build the real-world skills needed to teach West Coast Swing with clarity, confidence, and creativity. Led by champion instructors Thibault & Nicole, the course focuses on developing your ability to adapt across levels, communicate effectively, and structure impactful classes that keep students growing and engaged.
You’ll learn how to build a progressive curriculum across three levels, giving you a year-long teaching framework that guides students through a clear path of development. We’ll also explore how to structure effective beginner bootcamps, run successful mixed-level classes, and create drills that make musicality and technique fun and accessible.
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to refine your approach, this training will give you practical tools to elevate your teaching in any environment, from weekly series to drop-ins to private lessons.
Participation in this intensive is open to all, regardless of whether or not you did the training last year, you are teacher, or intending to teach.
So, bring your notebook, tablet, phone, and/or any other recording device to make sure you do not miss out on any of the pearls of wisdom that will be shared throughout the training.

Friday Afternoon Building beyond the basics Intensive

This open level intensive is meant to challenge with new/diverse concepts.
This technique focused intensive is designed for dancers wanting to grow their knowledge beyond basic skills and succeed at self development with confidence and ease.
The intensive is 3 hours: 12:30pm - 3:30pm
How much does it cost?
This intensive is $100 (this cost is in addition to the event pass). At the door pricing is $130.
Do I need a partner?
NO, this intensive is taught in a rotational format and you will learn with other attendees.

Thursday and Friday Intensives, Meals, and Accommodation are paid separately to Event passes.
